Welcome to May Butterflies Holiday Let and the beautiful Isles of Scilly.
If you have never visited before then you are in for a treat; for those that have then you know all about this magical place. An archipelago of the southwest tip of Cornwall.
There is no place like it with the islands covered in heathland and fringed by stunning sandy beaches. The water is a luminous turquoise and crystal clear, ideal for diving to see the myriad of marine life. Breathtaking coastal walks, messing about on boats to and from the other islands which all have their own distinctive uniqueness.
There are plenty of places to eat whatever your tastes, some with seascapes to enjoy a drink or two!!!
Whatever your planning on doing whilst here you won’t be short of things todo. You’ll find like us, that the Isles of Scilly is captivating and will bring youback time and time again.
Scilly has a slower pace of life ideal to unwind from the stresses of everyday life that will soon be forgotten as you settle into this spellbinding place; a gentle reminder of times gone by.
We first visited 15 years ago and were hooked. Although working in the travel industry for 20 years and being lucky enough to travel all over the world, nothing can compare to Scilly.
So, we finally took the plunge and bought a property as our future home, just around the corner (30 yards) from Porthcressa Beach, where you can dine at Dibble and Grub and take in the glorious sunsets.
May Butterflies is also close to the main street of St Marys, ideal for all your provisions. A gentle stroll down the main street will take you to the harbour to catch aboat for a day’s adventure off islands. We have stayed in many self-catering places over the years and would like to think we have an insight into what makes a holiday great. It is, after all, our home too, so we’ve made it relaxed, well equipped and atmospheric enough to enhance your stay. Oh! And in case you’re wondering why ‘May Butterflies’? well May after mywonderful Mum and Butterflies to signify new beginnings. Maybe you’ll have a new beginning of your own?

The Flat
May Butterflies is situated in Little Porth, on a quiet corner of the main street.
The flat is on the ground floor entered through a blue gate and gently sloping path into a whitewashed courtyard.( where you can sit and take in the sun) Turning left into the covered entrance area you can store coats and walking boots etc; a step down through the doorway into the entrance hall.
First door on the right takes you into the spacious lounge decorated in sunny coastal colours with comfy sofas, plenty of storage, a 40inch HD T.V, a DVD player and plenty of CDs and DVDs to entertain when required.
Back into the hallway and down to the Kitchen: fully equipped with a new Electric cooker, Microwave, Dishwasher, washing machine and a radio. All required utensils, pots and pans etc. A kitchen table furnished for two awaits you for your morning breakfast before heading out.
Guest Bedroom has a large wardrobe and drawers, bedside tables with lamps and 2 x 3ft quality beds/mattresses which can be zipped together to make a King-size, just let us know when you book. A hairdryer is also supplied.
The bathroom leading of the kitchen is undergoing refurbishment at present, when completed will have a walk-in shower. Guest towels are provided
Should your best friend (small well-behaved dog) be staying with you, then a bed is provided and bowls. An extra blanket in the lounge. Just bring your dog’s own blanket and be kind to our furniture.
